Dawn's Revenge was a riot grrrl band based out of San Diego at the turn of the millennium. Connecting via the internet over riot grrrl and lady led rock, Liz and Em began to write songs together while they were in high school. While eating lunch one day, the girls recalled the movie they had watched last night - Welcome To The Dollhouse - and fantasized about an imaginary sequel where the lead character, Dawn, would get revenge on her wrong doers. Looking up from their sandwiches it was obvious what their currently nameless band would be called...After an open mic performance and a pot luck performance it was clear their rock n roll needed a full time drummer. Shortly after, posting a "drummer wanted" ad at a San Diego record store, a guy named Glen responded, promising to bring the spirit of rock n roll, and Dawn's Revenge was complete.

After getting a life-altering opportunity to open for one of their musical idols, Dawn's Revenge entered the home studio of friend, John Swartz, to record their first demo tape. The result was a catchy punk-fucking-rock collection of tunes reminiscent of their early influences including Bikini Kill, Sleater Kinney, and Heavens to Betsy, landing Dawn's Revenge on the post-riot grrrl sonic spectrum.

This is the digital version their first and only tape - which sold out at San Diego's beloved co-op, The Che Cafe, when they opened for Le Tigre in the year 2000...the trio disbanded shortly after to explore other creative outlets.
